Yuriko Ohno attended and graduated from Watertown High School in Connecticut. She then transferred to Kobe College, graduating from the Department of English. After working of Japan Airlines, she became a counselor for the Leisure Life seminars developed jointly by Japan Airlines and the University of Tsukuba. Meanwhile, she also interpreted for foreign teachers working in Japan on the JET Programme administered by Japan's Ministry of Education.
In 1993, she did her first interpreting work in the psychology and spirituality fields. On the side, she studied at the Open University of Japan, majoring in human development and education. Her graduation thesis was on “Shamanism and Healing.”
In 2000, she started practicing integration therapy, with a focus on regression therapy, in Hayama, Kanagawa Prefecture. In 2001, she began participating as an assistant lecturer, supervising practical work, in integration therapy courses for medical professionals run by Trisha Caetano. She commenced “i-unity” workshops in 2005 and in 2007 became lecturer for The School for Mystical Knowing run by Gary Bonnell Japan, Inc. Since childhood, she has had many mystical experiences. She likes to integrate those experiences and her own learning into lectures, workshops and therapy. She is also active in a wide range of fields, including as a writer, translator and interpreter.

Takeshi Mitsuhashi was born in 1939 in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. He received a Ph.D. from the Graduate School at Kokugakuin University and has a doctorate in Shinto studies. He studied for three years from 1971 at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. He is currently professor for the Faculty of Shinto Studies and Graduate School at Kokugakuin University.
He has written and edited numerous works in Japanese relating to the Shinto religion.

Mai Ohno was born in 1980. While living in Alaska, she was attracted to the culture and art of ethnic groups with strong ties to the earth. After working for an advertising agency, she established herself as an illustrator under the name “Denali.” She travels around the world gathering inspiration for her work. She is gaining popularity among all generations for her unique view on the world, which is rich in story and imagination.
She currently works mainly as an illustrator for magazines, books and advertising.

Translator:Jonathan Leask

Jonathan Leask was born in 1976. In 1999 he graduated from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, with an honours degree in Japanese and subsequently moved to Japan to take up a coordinator for international relations position in Kyushu. After several years as an in-house translator for a leading Japanese manufacturer in Tokyo, he set out on his own to expand his horizons in other branches of translation.
